HISTORY OF GREER CONSTRUCTION CO. INC.

Edward Fisher Greer started residential construction work in Carlsbad, New Mexico in 1965 while working shift work for Potash Company of America. On his days off and after work hours he would do painting and drywall small additions to homes for individuals and General Contractors. He then started building homes for speculation; if the house didn’t sell he would take a trade-in or move into it until someone bought it, or he made the right trade. Soon moving to small commercial remodels and additions he work into food store fixture installations, remodels and additions across New Mexico and West Texas. From 1969 to 1975 he stayed busy not only with Food Stores but building new homes and apartments. Ed died July 5th 1975 leaving an opportunity for his wife Laverne, son James, and son in law Joe Nichols, to resume his passion to build.

In late 1975 Greer Construction incorporated in the State of New Mexico and became Greer Construction C. Inc. In the past 34 years Greer Construction Co. Inc. worked mainly in commercial construction. In 2006 we formed Consolidated Mechanical Services Inc. as a sister company and are now providing quality Plumbing, Heating and Cooling along with our quality construction.
